Engineering with... Evie: Lions, Slushies, and Safety – OH MY!
Hi. My name is Evie, and when I grow up, I want to be an engineer. What is an engineer, you ask? An engineer is someone who
- asks a lot of questions;
- learns a lot about the world and how it works;
- runs experiments
- tests ideas through prototyping to learn even more;
- designs or creates things in order to make the world better;
- solves really hard problems; and
- a lot more.
Why do I want to be an engineer? Well, I want to be an engineer because I'm very curious about the way the world works. I like to solve problems. I want to make the world a better place. I'm also very creative. I want to create new and interesting designs that help people. This is what engineers do every day, so I want to be an engineer when I grow up.
But I don't have to wait until I'm a grownup. I can start learning and using engineering skills today.
I'm so glad you're here, and I'm excited to learn more about engineering with you!
